A note on shelter and case confidentiality: This policy covers general communications with donors, volunteers, subscribers, and website visitors. It does not describe how we handle confidential information from survivors and clients of our shelter and support programs, which is governed by separate, stricter confidentiality protocols and applicable law, including the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) and Family Violence Prevention and Services Act (FVPSA). Client and case information is never used for marketing, texting, or fundraising communications.
