CeCe Has a Reason to Smile
17 August 2011
CeCe and her family came to Mary & Martha House after being homeless for nine months. They moved into our emergency shelter and soon started to regain the stability that had been lacking in their lives.
With the stress of being homeless behind them, CeCe started making plans to get job training that would help her find employment and build independence. She began studies in the healthcare field and soon received her license as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
CeCe got a job at a local nursing home and she and the children moved into their own apartment. There was one last thing she needed to help her on her way -- transportation. Mary & Martha House located a donated vehicle that would help her get to work on time and take care of her family's needs.
Today CeCe drives to work, picks up her children from school and takes them out for a day of fun. With darker days behind her, CeCe has plenty of reasons to smile.
